UK IPR league tables (2002-2011)

IPR is a jurisdiction based indicator of present investment in r&d and also future potential employment and GNI growth, a key factor in the latest UK and Isle of Man revenue sharing agreement.  The Isle of Man and Channel Islands share the UK IPR registers.  I have now collated and reformatted fragmented data on UK IPR statistics from 2002 to 2011 to baseline and benchmark the Isle of Man with Jersey, Guernsey, Gibraltar, Malta, Cyprus, etc.

However, to a busy executive, the official layout could inadvertently redirect all offshore enquiries to the Channel Islands as the Isle of Man does not benefit from the same implied status at the top of the table!

We should contact the UK Intellectual Property Office and request that the listing should consistently either collate the Isle of Man with the UK and Channel Islands or include the Channel Islands in the alphabetical list below the United Kingdom as per the Isle of Man – although actually the Channel Islands line should be itemised into Jersey, Guernsey, Sark and Alderney as relevant.
